For Fine haired ladies -
Once a week shampoo and condition hair.
Detangle hair with conditioner in hair.
No deep conditioning - no effect noted.
Apply leave in conditioner.
Apply styler/butter and style.
Air dry or sit under bonnet dryer on low setting for an hour
Tie hair down nightly with polyester scarf. (Have a silk one - hard to use a $20 scarf on my hair. Will stick with the 4.99 scarf from Beauty supply store).
Every 2-3 days moisturize (If in twist/twist out - use cream moisturizer. If loose hair - use spritz moisturizer)
After moisturizing add oil of choice
Only comb hair on wash days.
Trim hair every 3-6 months.

Let me introduce myself.....
Smallfro here. 36 year old mother of 3 sons. I have a slight obsession with natural hair blogs. I decided to document my own natural hair journey. I have other interest so will post on those when appropriate. I will primarily use this as a journal to document my life and things that interest me.
About the hair - my primary focus.
Natural hair since 5/2010. Did a big chop down to less than 1 inch of hair. On the quest to have should length un-stretched hair. I have typical afro type hair. It is medium in density. It is fine. It has low porosity. The longest my hair has been was when I went natural 7 years ago x 1 1/2 year and then relaxed it. I ended up with shoulder length relaxed hair, which then broke off in the next several years. I would like to have my natural hair be long and never experience the breakage associated with a relaxer again. I have some grey hair in front and middle. It does bother me, so I do color it. I currently have 4-5 inches of hair. I am a product junkie with a great job. So I have tried a lot of things. I hope to share those as well.
